All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF)
The All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) is a movement of university students with a vision for a new and just society. Rooted in a tradition of constant rediscovery and recreation, AICUF aligns its activities with the emerging needs and realities of universities, the Church, and society at large. Through its dynamic approach, the federation strives to nurture a new generation of socially aware and politically conscious young leaders.
Key Activities
Leadership Development: Organizing Councils, Conventions, and Congresses to inspire and nurture future leaders.
Publications: Issuing bulletins on youth issues to foster dialogue and awareness.
Creative Engagements: Conducting street theatre, flash mobs, and debates to raise awareness about human rights and societal challenges.

Holistic Education:
To motivate students to engage in studies, research, and activities that address broader socio-economic and political issues, fostering a creative and critical force within educational institutions.Critical Awareness:
To enable students to analyze their socio-economic, political, and cultural contexts critically, both at the micro and macro levels. This helps them recognize the need for justice as a transformative force and inspires them to commit to building a just society.Empowered Pedagogy:
To develop an empowering pedagogy that equips students to play a prophetic role in society, drawing inspiration from the Holy Scriptures and the lives of individuals committed to creating a better world.Spiritual Integration:
To help students cultivate spirituality rooted in God, combining contemplation with action to promote humanization through reflection, evaluation, and proactive involvement.
AICUF in Mangalore
The Mangalore District boasts 9 active AICUF units, engaging students in diverse activities that bridge the gap between faith and action. These units are committed to addressing the pressing challenges of contemporary society while fostering a spirit of service and solidarity among students.
Leadership for the Coastal Region
Dr. Anup Denzil Veigas from St. Aloysius Deemed to be University, Mangalore, serves as the Coordinator for the Coastal Region.
Mr Sohan Austin Mascarenhas from St. Joseph’s Engineering College, Mangalore, is the State President.
Ms Salomi D Souza from St. Joseph’s Engineering College, Mangalore, is the Women’s Commission Member.
Ms Rhema Fernandes from St. Aloysius Deemed to be University, Mangalore, is the State Secretary.
